Co-Dependent / Dependent Personality Disorder

Codependency personality disorder is a condition in which a person focuses onby living through or for another person, attempting to control the actions of others, attempting to "fix" others, feeling an obsessive need to take careof others, and feeling intense anxiety about the well-being of another person, while feeling victimized and secretly blaming the other person for life's unhappinesses.


Dependent personality disorder is a long-term (chronic) condition in which people depend too much on others to meet their emotional and physical needs. Formally known as asthenic personality disorder. Therefore a Dependent personality disorder (DPD) is one of a group of conditions called anxious personality disorders, which are marked by feelings of nervousness and fear. DPD also is marked by helplessness, submissiveness, a need to be taken care of and for constant reassurance, and an inability to make decisions.
