Association
of Humanistic Psychology Practitioners - UK - The humanistic approach
to psychology and therapy cannot be summarised in one single definition.
The humanistic view is one of "many ways of looking", in
that root knowledge of oneself, of others and of the world is based
essentially on inner experience and of experiential encounter with

Biography
by Dr. C. G. Boeree - Abaham Harold Maslow was born April
1, 1908 in Brooklyn, New York. He was the first of seven children
born to his parents, who themselves were uneducated Jewish immigrants
from Russia. His parents, hoping for the best for their children in
the new world, pushed him hard for academic success. Not surprisingly,
he became very lonely as a boy, and found his refuge in books. 4/5

Spirituality
and Western Psychology - Just as for their colleagues in the other
sciences, most mainstream psychologists disavow anything that they
can not readily measure or deal with. So the spiritual side of our
nature is not a major research priority. 3/5
